Interesting course with challenging holes e.g. 14,17,3 and 5. Added advantage of two starting places when needed.

Clubhouse Food & Beverage:

The Menu was varied and the food good. The service was prompt and they cleared up reasonably quickly.

Clubhouse:

Quite welcoming but a little dull and old fashioned. Advantage was that there were good views of the golf course.

The lighting could have been brighter but the shop was reasonably well stocked and staff friendly.

Fairways:

Fairways were well maintained with defined edges. No mown grass to be seen so had obviously been cleared. Markers were easy to see.

About The Course

Harpenden Golf Club is proud of its course and has received numerous accolades over the years as one that is maintained to the high standards required by the modern player. The club is looked after in this respect by a team of highly qualified Green staff under their Course Manager, Neil Robson. The main aims of the both Green staff and the club’s Green Committee - the committee responsible for seeing that correct procedures are being followed - are to improve overall standards and playing performance of the golf course and to carry out any necessary improvements to the drainage of the greens.

Harpenden Golf Club is on the edge of Harpenden, a picturesque Hertfordshire town situated 5 miles north of the historic town of St Albans. Situated within easy access of the M1 motorway, less than 3 miles from Junction 9, Harpenden Golf Club is very accessible. Harpenden Golf Club, a private members club, founded in 1894 is a mature parkland course and with ongoing investment ensures that it is one of the best in the county.
